- Rooms have balconies, most with gorgeous sea views
- PADI-certified dive center, water sports center, and yacht charters
- Five outdoor swimming pools, including two for adults only
- Access to Apollo Day Spa for therapeutic and beauty treatment
- Free parking on-site and free Wi-Fi throughout
Cons
- No sandy beach on the property
- Resort doesn't reliably enforce adult-only rules at swimming pools

- Dated gym equipment
- No kids' club (but there is a kids' pool)
Bottom Line
The Marina Hotel Corinthia Beach Resort is an upper-middle-range, family-friendly resort hotel with 200 understated, airy rooms with balconies and most with gorgeous sea views. Dedicated divers, water sports enthusiasts, spa fans, foodies, and sun worshippers will each find their niche here, and, despite the abundance of activity, the resort manages to remain peaceful and relaxed, without the forced gaiety of many all-inclusive properties. However, note that many of the resort's amenities are actually at the neighboring, more luxurious Corinthia St. George’s Bay.

A waterfront resort with access to the luxury resort next door
The Marina Hotel Corinthia Beach Resort combines the value of an upper-middle-range all-inclusive resort with the luxury amenities of its sister resort next door (Corinthia St. George’s Bay), to which guests have full access. The Marina is spacious and private and never feels crowded, providing a more upscale experience than many similarly priced Malta resorts as well as stunning sea views from the pool terraces and restaurants. There are two pools reserved for adults, but management is known to be lax with the rules. The resort is relaxed and comfortable, drawing mostly couples but a healthy number of families as well.
Location
Away from the downtown chaos, but five minutes from Paceville nightlife, shops, and restaurants
The Marina Hotel Corinthia Beach Resort is located in seaside St. Julian’s overlooking picturesque St. George’s Bay. The area is quiet and relaxed, but close to clubs, casinos, restaurants, and shops while still being away from the chaotic city center. The Paceville nightlife district is a five-minute walk from the resort. The resort is on the street, not the beach, but guests have access to bay swimming off the rocks at the private Lido Club next door and there is a public sand and shingle beach within a five-minute walk. Valletta, the Maltese capital, is under an hour away by public bus, and the airport is a 15-minute drive from the resort.
Rooms
Bright, airy, and spacious rooms with pretty balconies and beautiful water views
Rooms at the Marina Hotel Corinthia Beach Resort are bright, airy, and spacious. Each has a private balcony, and most have spectacular sea views. Note that guests should specifically request a full sea view, as some rooms have only side or partial views. Rooms are simply decorated, with white tile floors, light walls, light bamboo furniture, comfortable sitting areas, and dressing tables. Amenities include air-conditioning and flat-screen TVs with satellite channels. Bathrooms are dated but clean, with shower/tub combos.
Features
Five outdoor pools, water sports, high-end day spa, and multiple restaurants
The Marina Hotel Corinthia Beach Resort has double the amenities thanks to its all-access relationship with the next door Corinthia Hotel St. George’s Bay. The Marina has four swimming pools and a children’s pool on-site, all with gorgeous views. Two pools are reserved for families, and while two are for adults only, management is reportedly lax when it comes to enforcing the rules. There is also a full menu of water sports on offer, including jet skis, parasailing, canoes, paddle boats, speedboats, and yacht charters. The PADI-certified Starfish Diving School offers trial dives for first-timers, advanced courses with certification, and night dives. The Lido Club at the sister property next door has lounges, bars, and bay swimming off a cement platform; it is free for guests of the Marina (outside guests can also access the club for a fee). Those seeking ultimate relaxation can visit the Apollo Day Spa with its indoor pool and hot tub, full menu of massage, body treatments, spa packages, and beauty treatments, including haircuts. The fitness center has cardio machines, free weights, physio balls, and lots of space to stretch out, but equipment is quite old. Parking and hotel-wide Wi-Fi are free for all guests.
The resort also offers a variety of cuisine options. The Bayview Restaurant is the Resort’s main dining room, serving decent food, buffet-style. Cafe 24 offers pastries, coffee, wine, beer, and light lunch items in a relaxed environment. Guests at the Oasis Pool Bar can order their meals for poolside delivery. Henry J. Beans is a fun, American-style pub decorated with vintage road and gas station signs, while Buddhamann is at the other end of the spectrum, serving an Asian fusion menu. The star restaurant at the resorts is Caviar & Bull, a fine-dining spot with unique cocktails and ultra-modern dishes influenced by molecular gastronomy.
