Eiffel Rive Gauche is a hidden gem along a quiet
street near the Eiffel Tower. This three-pearl property has a chic
interior, and like many boutique hotels in the city, offers only a few
amenities such as a breakfast buffet, a free evening reception with wine, and a
public computer. The 29 homey rooms don’t offer a lot of space (or air-conditioning), but they do include flat-screen TVs, and some have views of the
Eiffel Tower. Still, it may be worth
checking the prices at the nearby Hotel du Cadran, which has rooms with
air-conditioning, spacious bathrooms, and minibars.
Scene
Modern hotel catering to couples and families
On a narrow, quiet street in Paris sits the Eiffel Rive Gauche, a gray stone building with large windows complemented by black wrought-iron latticework. Inside the vibe is modern and chic, with black-and-white stone tiled floors, gray textured walls, red lamps, and sleek black and cherry leather armchairs in the lobby and breakfast room. Further in, there’s a lovely atrium with golden walls, broken stone floors, green bushes in tall planters, a stone water fountain, and two iron chairs and a table. Most guests are couples and families.
Location
Within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides
The hotel is located in the chic 7th Arrondissement of Paris, within walking distance of plenty of shops and cafes and a short walk from two private paid parking areas. It's within walking distance to Paris’ most beloved attractions. The Eiffel Tower is
a nine-minute walk away, while Hotel de National des Invalides is a 20-minute
walk. The Quai Branley Museum takes nine minutes on foot to reach, while the Rodin Museum takes 17 minutes. The Trocadero, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees, and the
Louvre can all be reached in around half an hour or so by foot -- alternatively, the closest metro station is a seven-minute walk away. It’s a minimum 40-minute drive to Charles de Gaulle Airport, depending on traffic.
Rooms
Small rooms with homey decor and flat-screen TVs; some with Eiffel Tower views
Rooms at the Eiffel Rive
Gauche range in size from tiny units with one double or two twin beds to snug Family Rooms with two twins and a double. Some have views of the Eiffel Tower. Rich wooden floors and furniture, white linens, and small desks makes for homey, if not basic, decor. All 29 rooms have flat-screen TVs, but they lack dresser drawers for storage and don't have air-conditioning. Some rooms do have small closets, but it may be difficult to store more than one bag in most. Like the rooms, the bathrooms are minuscule, and the walk-in showers are especially snug, to the point where they may limit some guests' movement. Hairdryers and toiletries are
provided. Note that past guests have complained of thin walls that allow sound to travel from other rooms.
Features

There’s also a breakfast buffet in the mornings, though it's not included in room rates.
Guests can make
use of a public computer and printer in the lobby, and free Wi-Fi is available
throughout the hotel.
