Louvre Piemont Hotel

Louvre Piemont Hotel's location near the Louvre and Royal Palace attracts mainly tourists -- mostly couples, but families and business travelers too. Overall, the hotel looks a bit disjointed. The decor gives off the air of a battle between contemporary and modern. For instance, the lobby is set with metallic armchairs on a red rug and the breakfast room is finished with colorful straight-back chairs and orange accent walls. Despite the lack of a cohesive look, the hotel is well-liked and offers intimate interactions between guests and staff. Guests at the hotel are generally a quiet crowd, but the neighborhood is busy, and the nightclub next door might bother guests in the early morning hours. 

The most raved about feature of the hotel is its location. It’s only takes eight minutes on foot to reach the Louvre Museum. Palais Royal is a four-minute walk away, whereas Opera Garnier is a 15-minute walk. The neighborhood is filled with restaurants and shops, making it extremely easy to get around on foot. There’s a bus and a metro stop that’s three minutes away on foot. About the only main attraction not within walking distance is the Eiffel Tower, which takes a 30-minute metro ride to reach. Charles De Gaulle Airport is a 40-minute drive away. 

Rooms at the Louvre Piemont Hotel are available in three categories (Standard, Comfort, and Deluxe) and two styles: contemporary and dated. The Standard and Comfort Rooms have a contemporary style with dark wood furnishings, blue or tan walls, carpets, and elegant drapes. Though there is some wear, these categories are in better shape than the Deluxe Rooms. Deluxe Rooms have a more traditional style with floral designs in the decor and worn carpet, plus furniture that shows visible scratches and wear. All rooms include flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, safes, kettles, and free minibars stocked with water and soda. Bathrooms are fairly clean, though dated, with spacious countertops, free toiletries, and shower/tub combos. Take note that some rooms may be subjected to bothersome nighttime noise from the neighboring nightclub. 

Price and location are the main selling points at the Louvre Piemont Hotel, so features here are few. Common areas are limited to a lobby lounge with a public computer and a charming and colorful breakfast room that offers a basic breakfast of pastries, cold cuts, cheeses, and fruit for a fee. There's free Wi-Fi throughout, though it’s reportedly difficult to log on and there are connectivity issues. The hotel doesn’t provide on-site parking, but nearby parking garages are available for a fee.
