Bottom Line
This quaint hotel is situated in the heart of historical Rome by many major tourist attractions. The 16 rooms are all standard-sized (which is relatively small in Rome), except for one suite with a private terrace. They're all decorated with warm colors and antique-style furniture, but decidedly unique styles; each has a large flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. A free breakfast buffet is available at the Hotel Locarno, just opposite. Hotel Anahi is best for smaller groups seeking clean rooms and a great location, but not requiring many amenities.

Scene
A quaint hotel in an elegant, old building
Walking into the small lobby from the narrow street, guests will immediately be taken by the hotel’s simple charm. There’s a large white vase with tall twigs at the entrance and black-and-white photographs lining the walls. The floor’s tiles are geometric cubes in soft red, black, and cream colors. A bench has photos of screen sirens on the cushion. By the reception desk are an electric coffee and tea maker, snacks, and plenty of brochures. An antique-feeling staircase leads to the hotel’s other floors (there is also an elevator).
Location
In the heart of historical Rome on the banks of the Tiber River
Situated near Piazza del Popolo, a large pedestrian square, the hotel is also within easy reach of Via del Babuino and Via del Corso, two of the main shopping streets. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars for guests to enjoy. Many of Rome’s most famous major attractions are close by. The Spanish Steps, Church of Santa Maria Maggiore, the Pantheon, and Villa Borghese Gardens are within walking distance. Flaminio Metro Station is a five-minute walk from the hotel, making public transportation easily accessible.
Rooms
Charming, uniquely decorated rooms
The 16 rooms are all designed in an Art Nouveau style with wooden floors and warm tones. Yet, they all have different decor elements and furniture. There is bold, patterned wallpaper and antique-looking furniture. The rooms are all standard-sized (which is relatively small in Rome), except for a suite on the top floor with a private terrace. Many overlook Via della Penna. Modern amenities include flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, safes, and hairdryers in the small, but clean, bathrooms, which also have bidets. All rooms also have hot water kettles and a few free snacks.
Features
Limited features, but freebies include Wi-Fi and breakfast across the street
Due to the hotel’s smaller nature, there are few extra benefits. There is no fitness center, spa, business center, or conference rooms. However, the hotel’s deal with the Hotel Locarno (just opposite of the hotel), allows guests to enjoy their free breakfast buffet. It features a mix of hot and cold food items daily. The hotel’s reception desk is open 24 hours a day and there are laundry facilities available. Wi-Fi is free.
