Hotel delle Nazioni is located in a historic building in the heart of Rome's cultural, commercial, and political arenas, near famous sights like the Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Spagna, and Palazzo Monetcitorio. The simple rooms have small flat-screen TVs and small, but modern, bathrooms. There is also an on-site restaurant, Le Grondici, that serves Mediterranean and local cuisine. In the mornings, there's a free breakfast buffet. Both business travelers and families stay here, although -- besides the restaurant and two meeting rooms -- amenities are few.
Scene
A historic hotel with a convenient location
After entering through
revolving doors, guests will immediately enter a spacious lobby where many guests congregate and relax. With extremely
high ceilings and large white columns, it has a sophisticated set-up. There
are leather couches and chairs, and tables and chairs for people to relax
before beginning their day. The reception desk is a dark wood and there are
plenty of large plants and greenery throughout the lobby.
Location
In the heart of Rome’s cultural, commercial, and political center
The hotel is just a short
walk from famous sights like the Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Spagna, Palazzo
Montecitorio, and Palazzo Chigi. The Italian Republic’s houses of government
are also conveniently nearby. Via Condotti and Via del Corso are two major
streets for shopping in boutiques and dining in cafes and restaurants. The
Barberini Metro Station is the closest form of public transportation, making
access to a variety of destinations easy.
Rooms
Simple, cozy rooms with modern amenities
There are just fewer than 80
rooms in the hotel, and all are simple and cozy. The rooms come in classic, superior, and
junior suite styles. They are all decorated with fine wood furnishings and
light fabrics, making the rooms bright and airy -- even if, as a whole, they don't feel particularly stylish. Some, however, do have historic coffered ceilings. White and gold patterned
wallpapers and rust-colored curtains accent the decor style. Modern amenities
include flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and safes. Marble bathrooms are modern; some have small showers but those that do have separate soaking tubs.
Features
A traditional restaurant, a free breakfast buffet, and meeting spaces
Le Grondici serves fine
Mediterranean cuisine and local fare. It’s a historic venue that has been
around since the late 1900s. The setting is elegant and relaxed and mimics a Tuscan-style
setting with warm earth tones. In the mornings, the room hosts a large, free
breakfast buffet with both hot and cold options. The American Bar offers guests
a relaxing place to enjoy a cocktail or snack. During warm weather, the outdoor
piazza is opened and a viewing screen is put up for sporting events. Two modern
meeting rooms are convenient for conferences and small conventions.
