Well kept and casually elegant, the property features exterior hallways with gray railings and white columns. Quaint pebble-stone pathways lead around the tropically landscaped grounds to an outdoor pool lined by trees, shrubbery, and a white stone deck. Beige hallways leading to rooms are lit by iron lanterns and there are views to the beach across the street from some public areas. Since this is a condo-style property it doesn't feature common areas other than the pool, but there is a small reception room with a couple of chairs and some racks of tourist brochures. Guests are mostly vacationing families or couples who want to cook for themselves. There aren't business amenities here, but business travelers on longer stays may find this property to be a good option.
Across the street from the beach in a residential area of Saint Simon Island
The Sea Gate Inn is located on Saint Simon Island in a residential area with homes, condos, and a few other similar condo-style hotels. The property is separated from a public beach by a two-lane road that doesn't get much traffic. An empty lot across the street allows for views of the water from many of the property's units. This location is convenient for most types of travelers, especially families or long-stay older couples who want to be walking distance from the beach, as well as St. Simons Island Lighthouse (14-minute walk or three-minute drive). St. Simons Pier, along with a small commercial area with several restaurants and coffee shops, is a 20-minute walk or five-minute drive away. Redfern Village, one of the island's main shopping and restaurant areas, is less than a 10-minute drive away. McKinnon St. Simons Island Airport is a five-minute drive from the property. Brunswick Golden Isles Airport-BQK is about a 30- to 40-minute drive.

Units are air-conditioned and extend to balconies or terraces. Separate bedrooms feature one king-size bed or two queen-size beds, and the largest units have four bedrooms. Beige modern bathrooms have jetted soaking tubs and separate stone walk-in showers with glass doors. Exterior granite vanities hold toiletries. Wi-Fi is free. Noise from other units and exterior hallways can be an issue and non-smoking rules are not always enforced. Some units' beach views are partly obstructed.
