Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay is an upscale chain resort located on a beautiful stretch of sandy beach in Soma Bay. The hotel's decor features elaborate Arabian flair via arches, rich colors, high ceilings, and chandeliers. The lobby is a large, open-air affair with wooden and stone arches, maroon carpets and sofa seating, beautifully tiled flooring, high stoned walls, and indoor ponds and plants. The outdoor pool area is extravagant: the lazy river weaves around the large swimming pool and hot tub area, where there are surrounding sun loungers and umbrellas. Each of the restaurants and bars feature their own design, varying from fine-dining luxury to a chilled out beach bar. The wide variety of features and relaxing ambience makes this hotel popular among all sorts of travelers, including couples, honeymooners, business travelers, and families. 

Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay has an ideal beachfront location on one of Soma Bay's finest sandy beaches. Sitting between Hurghada and Port Safaga, Soma Bay is a popular spot for water sports and reef diving which are both offered by the hotel. There are a handful of restaurants and cafes within walking distance from the property and The Marina is three minutes away on foot. While there's nothing nearby in the way of public transport, the hotel offers shuttles to Cascades Championship Golf Course, Cascades Thalasso & Spa, Orca Diving Center, and BFT 7 Kite House -- all within a five-minute drive from the hotel. The hotel is 14 minutes south of Hurghada International Airport.

The 325 rooms (including 34 suites) at Kempinski Hotel Soma Bay all feature some form of Arabian-style design and decor. Each room features either a maroon or blue color scheme paired with wooden furniture, white linens, tiled flooring, and arched door frames. The suites have a more modern feel with nicer seating areas. All feature air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, minibars, tea- and- coffee-making facilities, desks, telephones, safes, and free Wi-Fi. Bathrooms include shower/tub combos while the suites include both walk-in showers and tubs along with magnifying mirrors and house-brand toiletries in the rooms and Bvlgari toiletries in the suites. Bathrobes and slippers are provided.

All rooms and suites have a private balcony with either resort, lagoon, or sea views. Suites feature separate living areas along with larger balconies decked out with sun loungers.

The View Restaurant features both international and Egyptian cuisine, Bamboo Shoot Restaurant serves Pan Asian cuisine, and La Pergola Restaurant features Mediterranean-inspired flavors. Al Mar Restaurant and Bar, Lobby and Sultan Lounge, and Beachcomber Bar are best for an enjoyable afternoon cocktail. All rates include a free full buffet breakfast with over 100 items on offer. One of the hotel's main highlights is the large outdoor swimming pool (heated in winter) and lazy river flowing around the pool and grand outdoor hot tub.
