Rooms are sleek with modern furniture and sexy open bathrooms that are large for Barcelona standards. Additional room perks include iPod docks, flat-screen TVs, and Nespresso machines. Beyond the inviting design and a free wine tasting for guests every Wednesday, the highlight of this hotel is its location in the upscale Eixample neighborhood, within walking distance of numerous attractions. Location
On a fashionable street in the heart of upscale Eixample neighborhood
This property is centrally located in the Eixample neighborhood, one of the most upscale areas in central Barcelona. With an address on the fashionable Passeig de Gracia, SixtyTwo hotel is within walking distance of numerous attractions. Eixample is one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Barcelona and certainly the most affluent in the downtown area and is complete with stunning architecture. It is characterized by a unique grid system, tree-lined streets, and Modernist architecture. It is also where many of the major sights are located, such as La Pedrera, Casa Batllo, and even the jaw-dropping Sagrada Familia Cathedral.Passeig de Gracia is Eixample's main thoroughfare, with 19th century architecture, upscale boutiques, and wonderful restaurants. The side streets are equally splendid, but quieter. The area is full of history and elegance -- but some travelers find long lines in front of tourist attractions a bit annoying, and prices are definitely higher than the rest of the city.- 21-minute drive, or 40-minute metro ride to El Prat International Airport
