The two-pearl Hero Beach Club is ideal for couples and families who wish to be near the beach and walking distance to town. Rooms have a range of colorful styles, but all come with flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, and balconies or porches. Some rooms have kitchenettes, while Efficiency units have full-size kitchens, minus a microwave. However, there have been some complaints of noise in rooms. Oyster Hotel Review

Beach-themed motel that caters to couples

Hero Beach Club is more of a motel than a resort, with light-gray siding and white trim that gives this place a charming, rustic style. Its exterior displays worn buoys on a fence, three smiley faces painted on the side of the building, and a paddle board. The lobby has a homey beach vibe, with light salmon-colored walls, a surfboard, wooden furniture with blue-and-white beach designs, flowers, and decorative boat pieces. There's also a fridge with beverages for sale. Guests are usually couples and families looking for an affordable getaway near the beach.

Located on the beach and within walking distance to town

The hotel is right on the beach and about a 10-minute walk to Montauk's Plaza, where there are a variety of restaurants and shops. However, most area attractions are best reached by car. Montauk Point Lighthouse, commissioned by George Washington and built in 1796, is a 13-minute drive away. It’s an eight-minute drive to Montauk Downs State Park Golf Course, while Hither Hills State Park is a 10-minute car ride. For multiple seafood dining options, drive 10 minutes to Gosman’s Dock. Montauk Airport takes 11 minutes to reach by car.

Individually decorated rooms with mini-fridges and balconies

Hero Beach Club's accommodations vary from room to room. Each has its own decor and style. and no two appear the same. Some have pink, turquoise, or purple color schemes, while others have modern beach decor or a homey vibe with a brown color scheme. Rooms include flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and coffeemakers. Second-floor rooms have balconies with chairs or loungers, while first-floor rooms have wooden picnic tables on porches. Some rooms come with kitchenettes with ovens, four-burner stoves, mini-fridges, sinks, and dishware. Two-bedroom Efficiencies with full-sized kitchens and separate living rooms are also available. The bathrooms appear more recently renovated and have showers, lovely tan or white tiles, and large sinks, sometimes in funky bowl designs. The Four Seasons Suite and the Queen Jacuzzi units have whirlpool tubs and showers. Some bathrooms have hairdryers, which guests can also request from the front desk. Past guests have complained that rooms lack closets and noise can be an issue from neighboring rooms.

Pool, attractive lawn, free Wi-Fi, and on-site parking

The hotel’s features are geared toward relaxation and include a large pool surrounded by lounge chairs. An outdoor shower is also located in the pool area for guests to wash off sand from the beach. The beach itself is a large stripe of white sand where guests bring their own towels, umbrellas, and chairs. The hotel has a large green lawn that encourages outdoor activities and picnicking. A picnic table and lounge chairs have been provided. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, and there’s on-site parking at no cost. However, there's no on-site restaurant or breakfast service.
