The Roomzzz Aparthotel Manchester City is housed in a registered historic building (once a Victorian cotton warehouse), and its handsome, many-windowed exterior has been well preserved. There interiors also have many original elements intact, from exposed brickwork to original beams and elegant steel columns. Nevertheless, the interiors are self-consciously modern, with glass paneling, dark-wood parquet flooring, and bright pink armchairs in the subterranean reception area. A lack of proper public spaces makes the atmosphere a little anonymous, but the general mood is boutique, contemporary, and informal, attracting younger couples and families who prefer self-contained accommodation to the typical hotel experience.
