The Nap Patong offers style and chic but at moderate prices. The sleek modern design and facilities -- conceived around wood, water, and open-air --  stand out from similarly rated hotels in the Patong area. The Nap Patong was expanded from the 45-room The Sea Patong that opened in 2000. The lobby’s interiors -- with wood-beamed ceilings, turquoise sunshades, canopy beds by a fountain, pops of greenery, and cushioned rocking chairs -- are visible from the street, where a simple black, marble sign reads "Nap Patong." At night the lobby’s atmosphere is sexy, with yellow and purple recessed lighting and an illuminated turtle sculpture. Guests check in at a quaint front desk with iMac computers and white stools. There are two elevators.

The hotel attracts mostly couples, but families and solo travelers are drawn to it, given its close proximity to the beach and small outdoor pool. The wooden and tile pool deck -- spruced up with greenery -- offers lounge chairs and white umbrellas. Beach blankets and towels are available. The small blue-painted fitness center contains cardio equipment, free weights, and a flat-screen TV. The Nam Spa includes five treatment rooms.

The hotel is located on a quiet road, with a temple next door. It’s a convenient seven-minute drive to Patong’s nightlife, and a five-minute walk to the beach. Phuket Town is within a 22-minute drive. Restaurants, bars, a muay thai gym, shops, and a dive shop are within walking distance of the hotel. There are also taxis and tuk tuks close by. The hotel’s free shuttle delivers guests to the Jungceylon Shopping Mall in about 15 minutes. Live entertainment at Phuket Fantasea is about 15 minutes away by car, and Elephant Trekking Phuket is within a half hour's drive. The airport is about a 40-minute drive away.

Modern, minimalist decor and pops of blue fill eight types of rooms, including One- and Two-Bedroom Suites and Pool Villas. Rooms with balconies include sofas, drying racks, ceiling fans, and Moonlight Rooms have spiral staircases with rooftop terraces. Street, pool, and partial sea views are available. All rooms include iPod docks, flat-screen TVs, DVD/CD players, Apple TV, free minibars, tea- and coffeemakers, bathrobes, slippers, safes, umbrellas, irons, scales, and stereo systems. Bathrooms have rainfall showerheads or separate bathtubs -- or both. Two-Bedroom Suites have kitchenettes with microwaves, sinks, and balconies. Atrium Pool Villas have a shared pool, a common area, and soaking tubs. Two-Bedroom Villas have private pools with terraces, living rooms, and soaking tubs. 

The Nap Patong’s contemporary and stylish 76 Bar and Restaurant -- named after Patong’s area code -- draws solo travelers and couples. The open-air bar features cocktail tables that light up with different colors at night. The buffet restaurant has open-air and air-conditioning sections with an interior design scheme of white, black, and blue decor.

Two modern meeting rooms -- the Nai Yang A and Nai Yang B -- are available for functions of up to 140 people. A clothing boutique sells accessories and souvenirs. And the stylish library offers two Mac desktops, books, and newspapers. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
