The 89-room, upper-middle-range Hotel Lindos View is intimate and small. It offers panoramic views of the sea and the Acropolis of Lindos, a stylish restaurant, a futuristic-looking lobby bar, a bamboo-trimmed massage room, 24-hour front desk service, and two outdoor swimming pools, including one for kids. Scene
A stylish seaside hotel with unobstructed views of the Acropolis of Lindos
As the name implies, the Hotel Lindos View offers panoramic vistas of the sea and the Acropolis of Lindos. A freestanding stone door frame with iron gates marks the entrance to the starkly modern hotel, and a pebble pathway runs past the pool area and leads to the sleek lobby.
The lobby is small but brims with stylish accents: kaleidoscopic black-and-white floor tiles, recessed ceilings, trendy and classic seating, a white marble front desk, and floor-to-ceiling windows that look out on the pool area. Mounted flat-screen TVs, while a convenient touch, somewhat kill the sophisticated vibe, guests report, by giving the lobby the feel of a sports bar.
The kids' pool has a small cloth canopy, which provides some shade. The lagoon pool -- facing the sea -- is surrounded by a deck with white umbrellas, lounge chairs, and the restaurant’s terrace.
Rooms are reached via stone and pebble pathways that are lined with lampposts and small gardens.
Location
Centrally located across the street from the Acropolis of Lindos
The Lindos View Hotel sits across the street from the Acropolis of Lindos, and is about a 10-minute walk to the heart of the town. The beach is about a 15-minute walk from the hotel. The medieval town of Rhodes, with the Ancient Olympic Stadium and Grand Master of Knights Palace, is about 26 miles away, and Diagoras International Airport is about 22 miles from the hotel. Restaurants, bars, and water sports are all within walking distance of the hotel.
Rooms
Large rooms with quirky industrial-chic accents, flat-screen TVs, and beautiful views
Open, unconventional floor plans prevail in the Studios, Duplex Studios, and One-Bedroom Apartments.
Decor in the apartments is industrial chic -- think wood beams, a white brick surround around the vanity mirror, wall-mounted writing desks with black chains, mirrors incorporating strips of brick, and salvaged wood turned artwork. Amenities include flat-screen TVs and walk-in showers; expect other charming touches such as as small chalkboards and voile bed drapes.
Family Rooms -- with LED rainfall showerheads -- have canopy beds near the bathtubs. Rooms come with kitchenettes, mini-fridges, coffee- and tea-making facilities, and balconies or terraces with gardens.
Studios and Duplex Studios tend to be on the plainer side.
Some rooms have steep steps to climb, but ground-floor rooms are available. There is no housekeeping service on Sundays.
Features
Elegant dining with views of the town acropolis, and spa services
Among the stand-out features of the hotel are the beautiful views of the sea and Acropolis of Lindos from the huge windows of the restaurant, which has a ground floor terrace, an upstairs dining area, and a la carte menu. The lobby bar -- which occasionally hosts live bands and karaoke nights -- has a futuristic design with silver domed ceiling lights and white trendy chairs.
The spa room is small and filled with bamboo accents, two massage beds, a small dining table, and two lounge beds.
