Scene
Elegant, modern design with an emphasis on art
This hotel is devoted to contemporary art, displaying artwork by young Italian artists (all the art is for sale). The lobby, hallways, and common areas are decorated in white and black and are reminiscent of a modern art museum. The rooftop garden with 360-degree views of Rome is a draw, as is the hotel restaurant with a Michelin-starred chef.

The First Luxury Art Hotel is located on the northern edge of Rome's popular tourist center, a very short walk from the Piazza del Popolo and Spanish Steps. This area is full of charming cafés, trattorias, restaurants, and shops (the epicenter for high fashion boutiques in Rome, Via Condotti, is nearby). Most popular historic sights are easily reached on foot (it's a 15-minute walk to both the Trevi Fountain and the Pantheon), but there is easy access to public transportation too.
