Quiet location within the Gulf Islands National Seashore
Portofino Island Resort & Spa is located within the Gulf Islands National Seashore, with a residential area to the west and eight miles of undeveloped beaches to the east. This resort is close enough to town to be part of the action, but far enough away that it provides a quiet, serene escape on the Gulf of Mexico. The resort is situated near the national park and experiences less residential traffic than other areas. Portofino also offers a free water taxi service to transport guests to Portofino Boardwalk, where visitors will find local eateries and shops.
Florida's Panhandle, also known as the Emerald Coast, offers beautiful white sand beaches and clear blue waters along the picturesque Gulf of Mexico.
Portofino Island Resort and Spa offers a total of five Mediterranean-inspired towers with two- and three-bedroom condo units. All rooms have balconies with great views over the beaches to the Gulf of Mexico or Santa Rosa Sound. Convenient perks in the condos include fully equipped kitchens and washer/dryers. Each tower has its own outdoor pool and the resort offers a long list of water and land sports, as well as a free dolphin cruise and a floating water park. While there is no direct beach access -- the beach is across a street -- this resort does offer spa services, a total of three restaurants, and free Wi-Fi.
