Off to the side of the lobby is the small breakfast room with a red and tan color scheme. It leads to an outdoor patio with a fireplace and grills. The atmosphere is relaxed and unfussy. The hotel is pet-friendly, and there have been quite a few complaints about barking dogs, pet odors, and cleanliness issues relating to pets inside and around the hotel. Non-animal guests are usually families and couples on vacation. 

This La Quinta is well-placed for families who want to explore Pigeon Forge. It sits just off the main road, next to Tomb Pigeon Forge and across the street from The Track and MagiQuest. It’s a 15-minute walk to the Island in Pigeon Forge and a 16-minute walk to the Hollywood Wax Museum. There’s plenty of dining options on surrounding streets. Dollywood is a 12-minute drive away, while the Great Smokey Mountains takes 25 minutes to reach by car. It’s about a 15-minute drive to the Gatlinburg Pigeon Forge Airport.

The units include flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, microwaves, coffeemakers, and free Wi-Fi. Some upper-level rooms have pullout sofas. King Bed Suites also include small kitchenettes and whirlpool baths. Cream-toned bathrooms have shower/tub combos or walk-in showers, toiletries, and hairdryers. Guests have noted bothersome noise from dogs in neighboring rooms, and occasional pet odors in their rooms. 

Features at the La Quinta Inn & Suites Pigeon Forge are convenient and add value to a stay. There’s an indoor swimming pool and hot tub that’s open 24/7 and sits under a lovely skylight. A free breakfast buffet with hot items, like eggs and waffles, are provided every morning. There isn't a restaurant or bar on-site, but travelers can take advantage of a barbecue grill on the outdoor patio with a cozy fireplace. A small gym with three cardio machines and some free weights is available for guests. Free Wi-Fi, public computers, free parking, and a laundry room round out the amenities. The hotel does have pet-friendly policies, however, past guests have complained about bothersome noise, messes, and smells in the hotel due to this policy.
