Bottom Line

This mid-size, economy hotel is centrally
located in the heart of Seattle -- equidistant to the downtown area and the
Space Needle -- making it an ideal choice for those in town for business or
pleasure. With the property adjacent to the lovely tree-lined Bell Street, guests of Belltown Inn
will find themselves within easy walking distance of many area restaurants and
bars as well as significant city sights like Pike Place Market, Seattle
Center, and Seattle Aquarium. The rooms in this hotel are small and fairly
standard issue, but they're clean and comfortable. All have kitchenettes with
microwaves and mini-fridges as well as flat-screen TVs, but there’s no
air-conditioning or free Wi-Fi, though the daily surcharge for Internet access
is not obscene compared to other hotels. The business center is open
24 hours and there are also hotel staff members available around the clock.
Fun perks include a lovely rooftop deck and free bicycles you can borrow.

Belltown Inn

Scene

A welcoming, cheery starting point for Seattle adventures

With a
motto that declares "Walk to everything!" Belltown Inn makes it
clear that this is more of a convenient stopover on your way to seeing
Seattle's sights than a hotel you'll want to spend a ton of time hanging out
in. That being said, the property is clean, cheery, and welcoming. The exterior
even feels a tad whimsical thanks to its checkered facade and turquoise mosaic
columns. The lobby is functional with leather seating and Picasso-esque print
armchairs. There’s an interior courtyard with a tiled fountain and a lovely
rooftop deck that also provides a place for guests to gather, weather
permitting.

Location

Within walking distance to most Seattle sites in central Belltown

Conveniently
located between downtown and the Space Needle, the inn's location makes it
ideal for visitors trying to see Seattle's sights as well as for those in town
on business. Pike Place Market, Seattle Aquarium, Seattle Art Museum, Seattle
Center, and Pacific Science Center are all within walking distance, as it’s
about three quarters of a mile max to any of these places. Immediately
surrounding the hotel you will find a tree-lined street with little shops; head
down Bell Street -- which the inn abuts -- and you’ll run into a slew of
restaurants and bars. Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is about 20 minutes
south.

Rooms

Nothing special, but clean and comfy with kitchenettes and flat-screen TVs

All 127
guest rooms at Belltown Inn are fairly standard hotel fare. In other words, these
spaces aren't going to rock your world with their decor -- think white walls
and duvets, burgundy carpets, a wild Picasso-like armchair to match the ones in
the lobby, and wood furniture. That being said, things are tidy and well-kept,
and the beds feature pillow-top mattresses. The kitchenettes are a
super-convenient perk and have microwaves, mini-fridges with free bottled water, and coffeemakers.

There
are also flat-screen TVs available with premium channels, and Wi-Fi is
free. The rooms also come with air-conditioning, though the Seattle climate usually doesn't make it necessary. Windows can be opened, and there are ceiling and pedestal fans. The bathrooms have showers and tubs with sufficient water pressure (and shower curtains that match the bed skirts), though the free-hanging bathroom mirrors and sinks can feel a little small when trying to get ready.

For the
quietest rooms, ask for one overlooking the interior atrium and not the street,
as area traffic can be noisy. Also keep in mind that there’s no daily maid
service, only weekly if you’re staying for multiple nights, so plan accordingly.

shredder. The coin-operated laundry on the premises is helpful for guests
staying for extended periods of time. During pleasant weather, the rooftop deck

Northwest city views.
