In Downtown Toronto, near St. Lawrence Market and the theaters of the Entertainment District
The Cambridge Suites Hotel is located near the northern boundary of the Financial District, within walking distance of the neighborhood's popular tourist attractions and the theaters of the Entertainment District. The underground PATH directly connects the hotel to other parts of the downtown area and many business centers and theaters.
Formerly an industrial park, Toronto's Entertainment District morphed into a hot spot of night clubs, theaters, and sports arenas in the 1990s. The Toronto Blue Jays and the Toronto Argonauts call Rogers Centre, which also hosts concerts and conventions, home, and only London and New York boast more English-language theaters than Toronto. Though it has become more gentrified in the last decade, with its growing rates of apartment and condo complexes, the Entertainment District is still a bustling scene at all hours of the day and night. The nearby Financial District is more of a daytime scene, with businessmen and women shuffling in and out of the many skyscrapers that house corporate headquarters, banks, and law firms.
The 229-room Cambridge Suites Hotel provides guests with clean, spacious two-room suites in the hub of downtown Toronto -- only blocks from the Financial District and tourist attractions such as Nathan Phillips Square and St. Lawrence Market. But rooms at the nearby Bond Place Hotel are more modern and stylish (if not as large).
