Pros
- In the Port of Barcelona, just outside the Gothic Quarter
- Spacious, luxurious rooms with modern amenities and comfy beds
- Gorgeous marble bathrooms, many with separate jetted tubs and showers
- Small rooftop pool with views
- Nice, fully equipped gym complete with a sauna and a Jacuzzi
- Mediterranean restaurant with outdoor seating, and weekly opera nights
- Free Wi-Fi
- King beds in some rooms (a rarity in Spain)
- Top-notch service
Bottom Line
The Eurostars is one of the most identifiable hotels in Barcelona, with a transatlantic-shaped structure and a dramatic staircase in the lobby designed by celebrity architect Ieoh Ming Pei. The hotel embodies contemporary luxury, from the weekly opera nights, to the minimalist design, to the top-of-the-line amenities. Spacious rooms come with wonderful conveniences, such as a pillow menu, free Wi-Fi, comfortable beds, and in many, separate jetted tubs and walk-in showers. However, there are still a few lingering small flat-panel TVs in some suites. Property highlights include a small rooftop pool, a well-equipped fitness center, a restaurant with outdoor seating, and in-room massages. But there’s no full spa, and breakfast is pricey.
