- Clean, comfortable rooms with modern bathrooms and flat-screen TVs
- All rooms have electric kettles, some have balconies
- Extensive breakfast buffet included in nightly rate
- Spa area with small fitness center, sauna, and a tanning bed

Cons

- No air conditioning
Bottom Line
The 208-room Relexa Hotel Stuttgarter Hof is a clean and efficient hotel in Kreuzberg. While decor is generic and lacking in special design touches, rooms are comfortable and feature flat-screen TVs and electric kettles. Hotel perks include an extensive breakfast buffet selection (included in the nightly rate) along with a spa area that has a small fitness center, a sauna, a relaxation room, and even a tanning bed. There are two on-site restaurants and a bar, and although unremarkable in decor, they do have bright touches of fresh flowers and plants. However, only superior rooms and suites get free Wi-Fi, and there is no air conditioning in the hotel.

In Kreuzberg, an up-and-coming neighborhood with an artistic side
Known as X-Berg, Kreuzberg was formally an industrial town with cheap rent and sub-par living conditions for poor immigrants who moved to the area. Though part of the neighborhood appears as the Kreuzberg of the past -- after the fall of the Berlin Wall -- it once again became a central location and attracted more businesses and people.
The neighborhood has one of the youngest populations in Germany (as rent in some areas is still inexpensive) and the influx of artists and writers has made the area very cultured. It's also a nice spot to stroll around, especially along the water. However, some areas can still be a bit spotty so be sure to get a feel of the neighborhood before going out alone.
