Bottom Line

GLK PREMIER The Home Suites is a mid-range hotel in the historical district of Sultanahmet; a five-minute walk from the Blue Mosque. The 34 guest rooms each feature individual vintage decor and are equipped with air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, minibars, and free Wi-Fi. The standard rooms are a bit on the small side, and few rooms have balconies. A free continental buffet breakfast is served each morning in the rooftop Terrace Restaurant, where there's also an a la carte lunch and dinner menu available. The Lobby Bar and Vitamin Bar serve lighter meals and healthy beverages. Both the spa and fitness room are small, though they include a sauna and Turkish hammam. Travelers may also want to consider Hotel Sultania, which offers an indoor pool and more extensive breakfast.

Cozy hotel housed in a 19th-century Ottoman mansion

Located inside a renovated 19th-century Ottoman mansion in the historic Sultanahmet District, The Home Suites is an intimate boutique hotel with a welcoming atmosphere. Sitting on a cobblestone street, its tall wooden-house exteriors stick out and immediately grabs attention among the surrounding hotels. Interiors are cozy and classic; antique furnishings and artwork give the hotel a charming feel. The Terrace Restaurant has the best spot in the hotel lovely panoramic views of the Blue Mosque, Little Hagia Sophia, and Marmara Sea from the hotels' rooftop. The spa is quite simple in design, with the minimal decor and furniture giving it a slightly cold feel. The fitness center is also a bit small and has little natural light, though a decent selection of cardio and weight-training equipment. While there is a business center and meeting rooms available, The Home Suites mostly attracts leisure travelers, including families and couples.
