Bottom Line

This Premier by
Eurotraveller Hotel is a budget property on a main road in
the northwest London suburb of Harrow. While the setting is far from scenic,
there's easy access from Heathrow Airport, and it's a five- to 10-minute walk to the
South Harrow underground station. Rooms are bright and spacious, and include flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, coffee- and tea-making facilities, and free but limited Wi-Fi; they can be prone to traffic noise. Breakfast is available but often comes with a fee. Travelers might also want to check out the Kingsland Hotel, about a 15-minute drive west of the Premier -- it charges similar rates and includes breakfast.

Scene

Redbrick budget chain hotel with bright, colorful interiors

Even a strip of
crimson awning can't detract from the unattractive modern redbrick facade of
this Premier by Eurotraveller Hotel, which doesn't look out of place in its surroundings. Inside, the reception area is bright
and welcoming, with contemporary lighting, polished stone floors, and a
cafe/breakfast area at the back. Faux rustic touches and a little fountain
tucked away in the corner also introduce a playful vibe, while hallways are
clean and adorned with colorful abstract artwork. While the ambience is
undeniably budget, it's all nicely presented and well maintained, attracting
mostly guests with business in the area as well as the occasional transient tourist.

Location

Set on unattractive main road in northwest London suburb

The hotel is
located on a fairly busy, unattractive main road in the mostly leafy northwest London suburb of Harrow. While the immediate area can feel a little
sketchy, a police station right next door to the hotel means it's safe enough (though the sirens
can be noisy). An adjoining Indian restaurant means guests don't have to go far
for food, and a local Waitrose supermarket also makes for a convenient grocery
stop. South Harrow underground station is a five- to 10-minute walk away and connects to
central London in around 40 minutes (Piccadilly Line), while Harrow-on-the-Hill
underground and overground station is a mile away. The hotel's location means easy road access to Heathrow Airport -- about a 25-minute drive -- while Luton Airport is 45
minutes away by car.

Rooms

Spacious rooms with flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and tea- and coffee-making facilities; some rooms are prone to noise

The Premier's 44
rooms are bright and spacious, and decorated in peach-and-pastel
tones with simple modern furnishings. Amenities include flat-screen TVs with
some cable channels, mini-fridges, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Both wired and
wireless Internet are available, though free only for a limited time. The
inclusion of U.S. and European electrical sockets is a bonus, and some rooms have
pleasant views of nearby greenery. Bathrooms are basic but clean
and modern, with shower/tub combos with glass doors. Poor soundproofing means traffic noise can a problem in street-facing
rooms, along with the noise of sirens from the neighboring police station.

Features

Continental buffet breakfast served in coffee shop -- usually for an extra fee

A continental
breakfast buffet is served in the lobby coffee shop, though it's not always
included in the room rate. Free parking is available, though space is limited, and it must be reserved in advance. Reception is open around the clock, and
there's also a limited room service menu. Wi-Fi is provided throughout the
property, though is free only for the first few hours.
