Hilton Garden Inn Burlington

The Hilton Garden has a neatly landscaped exterior, and views from its windows are pleasant. Despite its close proximity to I-95, the hotel looks out over woods, trees, and a marshy area that often has ducks and other wildlife. The lobby, common areas, and on-site restaurant are decorated in oranges, greens, and furniture with a playful 1960s design feel. Geometric patterns on the library carpeting continue this vintage decor look. Large, flat-screen televisions are located throughout the common areas, as well as plentiful electrical outlets for charging electronic devices. The hotel makes an effort towards quirkiness in decor, but still largely adheres to a generic chain hotel look and feel. This contributes to the general atmosphere of practical, convenient, and affordable accommodations for families or business commuters. 

Located less than one mile from I-95, this hotel is convenient for guests visiting or working in the suburbs who plan to commute by car. Boston Logan Airport is 19 miles away from the hotel, and can be reached by car or taxi in about a half hour during non-rush hour times. Those using public transportation can access the commuter rail at Mishawum Station, about three and a half miles away from the hotel. Guests can shop, or catch a bus into the city and surrounding suburbs, less than a half mile from the Hilton Garden at the Burlington Mall. It is also convenient to the Lahey Clinic Medical Center, about two miles away. The free shuttle service stops at the Anderson Amtrack station. This hotel is located in between the popular beaches and seaside tourist towns of the North Shore, and Boston to the south. 

Simple, utilitarian rooms have a functional lay-out that caters to guests' practical needs. Green ottomans double as storage bins, and their tops flip over to make a tray for holding food. Desks are accompanied by ergonomic Herman Miller desk chairs. King rooms include pressure-adjustable mattresses. In their bathrooms, guests will find Neutrogena soap, shampoos, and lotion, as well as LA Fresh brand makeup remover wipes. All rooms have mini-fridges, microwaves, and Keurig coffeemakers with free coffee pods.  Handicap accessible rooms offer features such as roll-in showers, tubs with attached seating, and hand rails. Lowered bathroom vanity and closet shelves make these rooms convenient for individuals in wheelchairs. Some natural wear and tear is apparent on the walls and furnishings, but no more than is to be expected in a hotel that caters to large traveling groups and families with children.

Internet is free throughout the hotel, though a high-speed upgrade can be purchased for a small fee. Printing from the 24-hour business center is always free, and remote printing from rooms is available for an additional charge. There is a large outdoor parking lot for guests, and  a free shuttle service transports guests to the Anderson Amtrak station and other locations within a five-mile radius. While breakfast is not free, it includes a cook-to-order omelet station and breakfast specials. The on-site Garden Grille Restaurant and Bar provides breakfast and dinner, and also offers evening room service. Coin-operated washing and drying machines are available for guest use, and on-site dry-cleaning services make it easy for people to keep clean business attire on hand. An indoor heated pool is open year-round, and the very basic fitness center offers cardio equipment and weighted medicine balls.
