Sleep Inn & Suites Redmond

The Sleep Inn is housed in a three-floor building with porte cochere entrance. The lobby living room is a striking, contemporary space, with green walls, red vases, chandeliers, and fireplace with wood mantle. Guests gather here and in the breakfast room, which gets plenty of natural light. The hotel is a good base for tourists exploring the Central Oregon region, and it also gets a fair number of travelers in town on business. Families with kids benefit from the large guest rooms and indoor pool. 

The Sleep Inn is just west of U.S.-97/Dalles-California Highway, across the street from a Walmart and several chain restaurants. High Desert Sports Complex is a three-minute drive and the center of Redmond, which has a variety of shops and restaurants, is a little less than five minutes by car. The Central Oregon Community College - Redmond campus is just under a 10-minute drive, and the Deschutes County Fair & Expo, Cline Falls State Scenic Viewpoint, and Smith Rock State Park are all within 10 minutes by car. Petersen Rock Garden and Museum is a 15-minute drive, and the center of Bend is a 25 minutes by car. Skiers hit the slopes on Mt. Bachelor, a 30-minute drive. Redmond Municipal Airport is a 10-minute drive or free shuttle ride from The Sleep Inn.

The 72 guest rooms at Sleep Inn feature ample space and substantial visual appeal. There's wood furniture and headboards, striped upholstered armchairs with matching ottomans, light-green walls with black-and-white photos, and taupe quilts on beds accented with black-and-white-print throws. Windows open for fresh air, and some units offer excellent views of the Cascade Volcanoes of central Oregon. Amenities are a plus, as all rooms come with 32-inch flat-screen TVs with HBO, microwaves, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, and free Wi-Fi. Suites with sofa beds are also available. Bathrooms are spacious and come with hairdryers, toiletries, and shower/tub combos or small walk-in showers. 

The Sleep Inn has a solid set of amenities for a comfortable stay. The indoor heated pool is about 10 meters in length, situated in a space with large windows and plentiful natural light, and there are lounge chairs and a hot tub on the deck. There's also an on-site fitness center with a weight machine, treadmill, and elliptical machine. Most guest give the free breakfast buffet a thumbs up, which has make-your-own waffles and wide array of cold fare, and the hotel also offers free coffee in the lobby. There's no full-service restaurant, but several are within a short walk or drive. A free shuttle runs to and from Redmond Municipal Airport, and the hotel also offers free on-site parking, a lobby business center, coin-op laundry, and 24-hour front desk. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. Up to two pets per room (40 pounds or less) are allowed for a per-stay fee.
