A breezy, beachy atmosphere permeates throughout this casual hotel, which is set on lovely beachfront grounds studded with palm trees and well-tended plants and topiary. Thatched-roof architecture contributes to the relaxed and tropical feel, and interiors are outfitted in a simple, pleasant style, with wicker furniture, ceiling fans whirring above, and fresh green plants dotted about the partially open-air spaces. The beach is the main showstopper here, and most guests spend much of their time lounging in hammocks or luongers that line the pristine soft-sanded shore. The atmosphere is relaxed and laid-back, attracting leisure tourists seeking a beach vacation. Both couples and families stay here, and the hotel offers some kid-oriented amenities like a game room.

The hotel is situated on a stunning stretch of Dumaluan Beach, on the southern coast of Panglao Island. This is a popular spot for hotels and there are several properties lining the shore, but the Bohol Beach Club manages to maintain a private feel due to its large grounds. There are several restaurants and bars along that beach that are a short walk away. The Hinagdanan Cave is a popular area attraction that can be reached in about 20 minutes by car. Tagbilaran Airport, situated on neighboring Bohol Island, is around a half-hour drive from the hotel, as is the port.

Rooms are large, clean, and pleasant, with colorful accent walls that add brightness to the fairly simple spaces. Wooden furniture and details like headboard panelling give them a bit of a fun touch. White bed linens are topped with patterned runners and accent pillows. Suites feature more elegant details, like textured accent walls, plus suits are larger and offer seating areas. All rooms have pleasant porches with wicker furniture. Suites have larger verandas with loungers, as well as tables and chairs.

Standard amenities include flat-screen TVs, minibars, electric kettles, electronic safes, air-conditioning, free bottled water, and free Wi-Fi (but some guests complain of a spotty signal.) Bathrooms have walk-in showers and are supplied with individual toiletries and hairdryers. Suites have soaking tubs and separate showers.

One of the highlights here is the hotel's beach, which the property shares with its next-door neighbor, the South Palms Resort. It's a stunning stretch of palm-dotted, white-sanded shore, with hammocks hanging between the trees and padded loungers as well as picnic tables lining the soft sand. A shaded massage area on the beach is a nice spot for a relaxing treatment. A number of water sports and activities are available, including kayaking, snorkeling, diving, windsurfing, glass bottom boat tours, and dolphin watching tours. The hotel also has an outdoor pool with a waterfall feature and a couple of sunbeds lining its periphery.

Dining is available at the hotel's restaurant, which serves local and international fare for breakfast (included in rates), lunch, and dinner. Room service is also available. A business center offers a couple of computers, and there are meeting and event rooms on-site. Other amenities include a game room that caters to kids, with foosball, toys, boardgames, and a TV with a Wii gaming system. Airport transfers and various tours are available. Wi-Fi is free throughout, though some guests complain of a poor connection. Small pets are welcome.
