The Ringling Beach House – A Siesta Key Suites Property

A wonderful 1920s building with Spanish architecture comprises the Ringling Beach House, which is flanked by palm trees and has lion sculptures at its entrance. This quaint hotel has an upbeat and welcoming atmosphere and a small, pleasant lobby filled with beachy touches like starfish patterned pillows and a bookshelf in the shape of a blue lighthouse. Green wicker chairs along with a blonde wood desk adorn this front office and fresh flowers add a nice touch. The surrounding grounds are well-maintained, peppered with palm trees and shaded seating as well as lounge chairs around the two pools. Guests should note that there are no elevators.

The Ringling Beach House is on the main road of the island and about a five-minute walk to the beautiful, white-sanded Siesta Key Public Beach. Several restaurants, shops, and Siesta Key Village are within walking distance and there is a bus stop just down the street. The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, Sarasota Opera, and Marie Selby Botanical Gardens are a 15-minute drive from the property, while South Lido Park, the Ringling Museum of Art, and Sarasota Jungle Gardens are 20 minutes away. Mote Marine Aquarium and Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport are a 25-minute drive.

A variety of one-, two-, and three-bedroom suites are available, all individually decorated with bright colors and tropical touches. Sea-inspired features such as bedspreads, lamps, pillows, and art provide a beachy feel, while some have wood dining tables and brown leather couches. Fully-equipped kitchens include full-size refrigerators, microwaves, ranges, dishwashers, and coffeemakers, and there are flat-screen TVs in the living rooms and bedrooms. Air-conditioning and patios with seating are also included with each room. Some offer vaulted ceilings, skylights, stainless steel appliances, and iPod docking stations, but there is no daily housekeeping. Simple, small bathrooms have shower/tub combos along with hairdryers and a small range of toiletries. However, many bathrooms lack vanity space and some bathrooms only have showers. Some units are pet-friendly for a fee. 

The two outdoor pool areas are the major highlight of this hotel, one of which has a lovely gazebo furnished with a table and chairs, while the other has a barbecue grill. Both offer tiled sundecks with lounge chairs and shaded tables. Concierge services as well as beach towels, chairs, and umbrellas are provided. Free Wi-Fi runs throughout and there is free parking outdoors and in a garage. All rooms have a mandatory reservation fee as well as a one-time cleaning fee charged at checkout. The property also has minimum stay requirements that vary depending on season. The front office is open from mid-morning to mid-evening.
