The Grand Hyatt Atlanta is an upscale chain hotel geared toward travelers with business in Buckhead. But the hotel's pool and the large, contemporary rooms (equipped with flat-screen TVs, iPod docks, and mini-fridges) make it a fine choice for leisure travelers as well, provided they prefer proximity to Buckhead's picturesque mansions and lively nightlife over proximity to the sites downtown. But bathrooms are on the small side, and there's a daily fee for Wi-Fi.

The Grand Hyatt Atlanta is located in Buckhead on Peachtree Road, which is lined with numerous restaurants and shops.
Buckhead is an affluent area in uptown Atlanta with tree-lined streets, beautiful mansions, high-rise office buildings, and luxury hotels. It's Atlanta's third largest financial district, and draws tourists and locals alike with its upscale shops, magnificent restaurants, and bars. (Its lively nightlife scene died down a bit, however, after an ordinance was passed requiring all bars to close by 2:30 a.m.) The area also boasts the Atlanta History Center, a 32-acre space with gardens, trails, a historic farm and mansion, and a museum.
