Right on the beach and close to the action
Southernmost Hotel and its sister hotel are in a great location to experience all that Key West has to offer. The hotel is right on the beach, and on the quieter end of Duval Street, within a five-minute walk of bars and restaurants.
Key West is the westernmost of the Florida Keys, and offers a thriving nightlife scene, as well as great diving, shops, restaurants, and decent beaches -- all within a few blocks. It can feel like a bit of a tourist trap with its tacky bars, hordes of cruise ship passengers, and T-shirt shops, but it’s one of the few Keys that has historic sites to visit. On the literary side, Ernest Hemingway and Tennessee Williams spent a big part of their lives here, and their homes have now been turned into museums.
Southernmost Hotel is a small beach hotel with a great location. It's on Duval Street, at the opposite end as all the bars and restaurants; it's only a five-minute walk from the action, yet is far enough away to provide a quiet stay. The hotel has pleasant rooms with breezy, contemporary Caribbean decor, and appealing bathrooms with stall showers. Southernmost borrows its beach, pier, and one restaurant from its sister property, Southernmost on the Beach, but guests report that this does not diminish from the experience, and rates here tend to be cheaper.
