Bottom Line
The Reach offers respite from rowdy, gaudy Key West with its brand of relaxed sophistication and its beachfront location. Its 150 rooms are spacious, modern and clean, with generic high-end furnishings and comfortable beds outfitted in crisp linens. They feel just a tad less upscale than those at the Casa Marina, its sister hotel next door (partly due to the use of carpet, rather than Casa Marina's tile or wood), but the hotel's private white-sand beach with a pier for fishing is just as nice.

Location
Located in a calmer spot on Key West's Atlantic coast, a short walk away from Duval Street's rowdy activities
The Reach is located on Key West's Atlantic coast, surrounded by other beachfront hotels. It's steps away from Duval Street, the main artery of Old Town Key West that's lined with restaurants, bars, and tacky souvenir shops.
Beaches in Key West are small, but nice, and the area is rather kitschy, but it has a certain lovable funk that keeps the tourists coming. Only one road leads into the city, which makes getting around by car difficult, but has sheltered Key West from much corporate development. Most visitors flock to this city for some genuine R&R as well as bottomless bottles of booze.
- 8-minute drive to Key West International Airport
- 3-hour-25-minute drive to Miami International Airport
- 2-minute walk to Duval Street, Key West's main drag
- 5-minute drive to Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park and Beach
- 5-minute drive or 24-minute walk to the Mel Fisher Maritime Heritage Museum
- 6-minute drive or 26-minute walk to the Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square
