Within walking distance of shops and restaurants in the Bastille district
The Standard Design Hotel is in the city's 11th district. There are many restaurants and boutiques here, and younger crowds might appreciate the area's bar and club scene. There are few sights within walking distance, but there are a number of metro stations in the area.
Paris is one of Europe's most densely populated cities, and is currently one of the world's most important business and cultural metropolises. Known as "The City of Light" for its growth during the Age of Enlightenment, Paris is home to some of the world's most luxurious fashion (Hermes, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent), iconic museums, and structures such as the Eiffel Tower and Arc De Triomphe, as well as major media and business outlets.
The 36-room Standard Design Hotel is located in the lively Bastille district. This boutique property features creative, black and white decor in the common lounges, cozy breakfast room, and rooms. A different accent color sets rooms apart from one another, though they all have the same appealing carpets, bedspreads, and light fixtures. The design, convenient location, and free Wi-Fi make the hotel a good value, but don't expect much in the way of amenities -- there is no gym, spa, or on-site restaurant.
