Oyster Hotel Review
Large, modern hotel that's popular for business travelers
Once guests enter the seven-story hotel, they're immediately welcomed by a large, open lobby filled with brightly patterned rugs and modern seating that includes plum couches and leather chairs. Although it has fun and unique details, the 12 meeting rooms and business traveler clientele help give the hotel a corporate atmosphere.
The two restaurants have a relaxed vibe; the breakfast area is bright thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows and the El Mall restaurant is an elegant space with beautiful brick-lined vaulted ceilings and modern art lining the walls. The lounge is a fun, chic spot that focuses on the piano in the center where live music is often played.
In the Montjuic neighborhood, close to office and government buildings, the Magic Fountain, and Placa d'Espanya
The Crowne Plaza Barcelona- Fira Center Hotel is located in the Montjuic area of the city, which is a hub for office and government buildings. It is a bit far from tourist spots, with the Gothic Quarter and Sagrada Familia around a 20-minute subway ride away. A lesser known attraction, the Magic Fountain, is within walking distance of the hotel and features music and light shows on specific nights. Also nearby is the famous Placa d'Espanya public square, as well as the shopping and entertainment center Arenes De Barcelona. Conveniently close dining options include several tapas bars and restaurants, as well as various bakeries for breakfast and coffee. Barcelona's historic center can be reached via bus or metro (the Poble Sec and Placa Espanya metro stations are both near the hotel).
Barcelona is an eclectic city that is popular for its historic and remarkable architecture, vibrant club scene, and urban beaches along the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. The capital of the Catalan region, Barcelona speaks its own language -- literally and figuratively. Known for a frenetic pace, the city is full of modernist architecture, medieval history, quirky fashion, and endless tapas bars. Located on the northeast coast of the Iberian Peninsula, the city has a Mediterranean climate with mild, humid winters and warm, dry summers.
