The 1865 Residenza D’epoca may be a small
bed-and-breakfast, but its antique and luxurious finishes make it feel much
more grand. The plush vintage furniture in deep red velvet and brown leather
give the impression of a high-end hotel, and the
exceptional frescoes on the ceilings invoke the history of the building. Coffee
and tea are available in the lobby and there is a library with some books for guests to borrow. Although the hallways are plain, they have lovely wood
flooring, which also extends throughout the common areas. The breakfast room is
a good size and includes a large window that lets in lots of natural light as well as soft,
velvety wallpaper for an extra bit of richness. There's also an elevator. Overall, the property is quiet and
intimate, but the front
desk hours are limited.

del Duomo, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, and the Piazza della Signoria. The Florence Airport is a 20-minute drive away.

browns dominate in others. Splendid wood furniture and antique chairs on wood floors add in a bit
of a historical feel, while the lighting creates a modern ambience. High ceilings are painted with frescoes. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, free bottled water, slippers,
bathrobes, and air-conditioning, and are notably quiet. Spa-like
bathrooms are modern and well-lit, with bowl sinks, tan tile, and walk-in showers with rainfall showerheads and in-shower lighting. All bathrooms have bidets
and Fattoria di Belcanto toiletries, and some come with clawfoot tubs.
