Bottom Line

The 288-room Courtyard Mexico City Airport is a three-pearl option situated at Terminal 1 of Mexico City's international airport. The hotel provides free shuttle service between the two terminals, so it's easy to get back and forth for arrivals and departures. Rooms and suites are fresh, and come with flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, and work desks with ergonomic chairs. The on-site bistro-style restaurant gets good reviews for its international fare, and there's a small convenience store, too. A modern and spacious fitness room is an unexpected perk. For travelers who don't need an overnight stay, the hotel also has a Travelers Lounge with comfy seating, a TV, lockers, and even a shower (fee). It's unlikely travelers who need access to the airport will find a better spot than this.

Courtyard by Marriott Mexico City Airport

Scene

Airport hotel with convenient location, comfy atmosphere, and modern style

This modern Courtyard is an ideal spot for travelers passing through Mexico City's international airport. With multiple places to hang out, including in the spacious lobby and out in the airy courtyard, guests can gather in large or small groups for a break from the in-transit hustle and bustle. Large potted trees and flowers and water features add a nice touch to the courtyard, and a Starbucks outlet keeps everyone caffeinated. The overall atmosphere is relaxed, yet lively, as people come and go at all times of the day and night. Although it's connected to the airport, the hotel is quiet and plane traffic wasn't an issue during our visit. The hotel is geared toward both business and leisure guests, and many flight crews stay here as well.

Location

Located at Mexico City's main terminal, with free shuttle to Terminal 2

This hotel is located in Terminal 1 of Benito Juarez International Airport, and there is free shuttle service to Terminal 2. While it's impossibly convenient for the airport, don't expect to use this as a home base for sightseeing, as the immediate area lacks much charm and is far from the city center. Travelers with extra time could visit the famed National Museum of Anthropology, which can be reached in about 30 minutes by car (though this varies depending on the time of day and can take up to an hour).

Rooms

Modern rooms and suites with flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, and desks with ergonomic chairs

This typical Courtyard offers modern rooms and suites, with medium-tone wood furniture, gold striped carpeting, white linens with red accents and decorative pillows, and red armchairs or loveseats. Flat-screen TVs sit on desks, and safes and mini-fridges are tucked away in cabinets. Other amenities include coffeemakers, air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and ergonomic desk chairs. Bathrooms feature a red accent wall, granite countertops, shower/tub combos, and upgraded toiletries. Suites add sitting areas with sofas and two armchairs, plus wet bars and dining areas. Views are of the surrounding area or the inner courtyard. There was little noise from aircraft during our visit, which is a blessing given the location.
