What It's Like
The bridge that links the Coronado to San Diego offers beautiful views of this 10-mile island, which is home to white-sand beaches, two golf courses, big resorts, and exciting theaters. Coronado Village is a quaint town with Victorian homes, restaurants, and the historic Hotel del Coronado, and Ferry Landing is great for shopping and galleries, and has a bay-front bike path. Coronado is also where The North Island Naval Complex is located.
Where to Stay
If you want to be in walking distance of shops and restaurants, stay in Coronado Village. If you prefer a less crowded beachfront, and don't mind a short drive to the village, stay a little farther south.
