Less than an hour's drive from the airport, and less than half an hour to downtown Cabo San Lucas
Villa Del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa is located right on the beach in Cabo San Lucas, just a five-minute drive from downtown's party scene, fishing, and other water sports. It's off a main road, but far enough away that the sight or noise of the street aren't an issue.
Cabo San Lucas, located right on the southernmost tip of Baja, is known for its incredible beaches and wild nightlife. It was once known for its big-game fishing, but is now recognized as Mexico's most prominent destination for luxury, golf, and parties.
Geared mainly toward families, the Villa Del Palmar megaresort features a decent pool with large whale-shaped slide; two buffet-style restaurants, deli, a nicely stocked grocery, and ice-cream stand; a massive fitness center with sauna and steam room; an extensive kids' club; and plenty of kid- and adult-friendly activities. Each of the 460 suites is average in decor (a mix of beige and brown with dark-wood furnishings), but feature nicely equipped kitchens (no ovens). The beds, though, are oddly placed just off the kitchens, and balconies have uncomfortable plastic furniture. There's an all-inclusive option, but it's far more limiting than at other resorts, so guests here are often better off paying as they go. Also, the beach is lovely, but the waves are far too rough for swimming.
