In the heart of Old Port, a couple of blocks from the waterfront
The location of the Portland Regency Hotel and Spa is hard to beat: it is within walking distance to restaurants, bars, stores, and the main tourist attractions in historic Old Port, plus only a couple of blocks from the waterfront. Milk Street is a short cobblestone street lined by historic buildings that ends on Exchange Street, home to a variety of stores and cafes.
Old Port is the heart of downtown Portland, the largest city in the state of Maine, known for its 19th century architecture, fishing piers, nightlife, and charming waterfront. It is full of boutiques, restaurants, and art galleries. The neighborhood comes alive in the weekend, when locals and tourists pour onto Exchange Street, the main commercial thoroughfare in town, during the day and to the bars at night.
The Portland Regency Hotel and Spa is housed in a historic building in the heart of Old Port. There are a few stand-out features, including the central location, spa and fitness center, and the popular Armory Lounge. This waterfront hotel has 95 spacious rooms with chain-like decor and nice bathrooms. There are a few great freebies -- such as Wi-Fi, morning coffee brought to the room, and a shuttle for guests -- but some outdated rooms are starting to show wear and tear.
