Four Seasons Resort Vail Rating: 5.0 Pearls
The Four Seasons Vail opened in 2011, and is one of the area's top hotels. Not only do families (and kids especially) enjoy the beautiful outdoor pool (open year-round), but the Teen Club, with an air hockey table, video games, foosball table, and iMac computers, is a popular hangout. On-site daycare is available in the kids' club and young children receive a welcome gift upon arrival.
2.
The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Vail Rating: 4.5 Pearls
The Ritz-Carlton Residences are easily among the most luxurious private condo rentals in Vail Valley, but that doesn't mean they aren't kid-friendly. In fact, many families choose to stay at the Ritz-Carlton, since residences have from two to six bedrooms, and all have full kitchens. The year-round outdoor pool is also a family fave and the teen room features a pool table, air hockey, foosball, video games, and more.
3.
Marriott's StreamSide at Vail Rating: 3.0 Pearls
In a beautiful secluded setting west of Vail proper, the Marriott StreamSide offers upper-middle-range condo rentals in three different sections -- Evergreen, Birch, and Douglas -- with full kitchens (great for saving money on food), fireplaces, and and homey mountain decor. The year-round indoor/outdoor pool is uncommon in Vail, where most pools are outdoors, and the hotel prides itself on its free extras (free Wi-Fi, free parking, and no resort fee). But it's right next to the interstate, and you'll have to take the hotel shuttle to the slopes.
