Adam's Mark Buffalo

This property has a traditional convention hotel feel, with dark wood trim, polished marble floors, and shiny, stainless steel framing the entrance and two-story windows. While there’s a cluster of chairs in a corner, the registration area isn’t a place where most guests linger. The hotel's expansive Harbor Bistro & Bar is a different story. It’s topped by a glass atrium and decorated in bright colors with a nautical theme. With lots of seating areas, including a black marble bar, it’s an inviting place to relax. Like the hotel itself, it can get quite lively when large groups are holding events. Otherwise, it’s a relatively quiet but somewhat impersonal business hotel.

The Adam’s Mark is well-situated in downtown Buffalo, just an eight-minute walk to the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center. Many government and commercial buildings are between the hotel and convention center, as is the Main Place Mall, which has plenty of restaurants and shops. It’s also an eight-minute walk to Coca-Cola Field, where the Buffalo Bisons plays baseball, while Harbor Center and KeyBank Center are 14 minutes on foot. It’s a 20-minute drive for football fans to the Buffalo Bill's New Era Field. Niagara Falls is approximately a 30-minute drive. Getting to Buffalo Niagara International Airport is roughly 17 minutes by car. 

Despite wide windows and bright, white duvets, these modern guest rooms feel a bit dark and dated. That’s primarily due to accents in a range of dark brown hues, used on the carpet, drapes, bed skirts, and matching wood furniture. A bit of color is added by orange armchairs (Kings only) and nautical theme artwork. Large desks with office chairs are included, as are tall headboards. Units are comfortable but only average in size for a mid-range hotel. Standard rooms (Doubles) have coffeemakers, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi. Some Doubles are Executive rooms, as are Kings, located on the top three floors of the hotel, and they add microwaves and mini-fridges. However, all units lack safes. Bathrooms have marble vanities, floors, and tiling framing the shower/tub combos, but they’re on the small side, with toilets wedged between the vanities and tubs. A fair amount of ambient noise can be heard from the busy downtown streets and other rooms, but it’s normally at an acceptable level. Views of the surrounding buildings and streets are unremarkable.

This large hotel caters to convention delegates and other business travelers, with a whopping 72,000 square feet of event space including a Grand Ballroom that can host 1,750 people. There's a business center in a dedicated room with two computers and a printer. The hotel's Harbor Bistro & Bar occupies a brightly decorated space with a cheerful nautical theme. It serves breakfast (fee), lunch, and dinner with a focus on American classics such as steaks, sandwiches, salads, and pasta. 24-hour room service is available.For wellness, the indoor heated pool is housed in a bright and airy space that has a glass ceiling, but there's no whirlpool. The fitness center is exceptionally large and well-equipped, with multiple treadmills, ellipticals, and weight-training machines. A sauna is part of the fitness and pool area. Valet dry cleaning and laundry are among the concierge services, there's a guest laundry room, and a car rental desk is in the lobby. Wi-Fi is free throughout. On-site parking in an attached garage costs extra, but rates are reasonable for a downtown hotel.
