Sleek and minimalist, the lobby area and breakfast room still manage to feel cozy -- likely due in part to the low-flung ceilings covered with playful stencil-style drawings, touches of color in the couch pillows, and the installation art. The breakfast restaurant is homey, with a fireplace and large wooden tables that look as if they were plucked from a farmhouse kitchen that complement the hotel's industrial-style furniture. The gorgeous rooftop terrace has become a popular spot to host evening events.

The Penthouse has two triangular terraces that run the length of two
sides of the apartment. Most rooms have white walls and floors, and streamlined black furniture -- the whole effect is futuristic. The beds are stylish and inviting, and have cushions with small yellow buttons that add a pop of color on the gray and white bedding. Bathrooms follow the same stark design, and include spacious stand-in showers and toiletries.
