Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville – Green Hills

This Hampton Inn kicks it up a notch in terms of design, with a lobby that has Georgian-inspired decor and rich details. Cherry wood paneling is used extensively, and traditional art, leather furniture, and rugs give the public spaces a touch of elegance. Shaded lamps cast warm, dramatic lighting on walls, creating a dark and intimate atmosphere, and there are white marble floors to balance the effect. A gas fireplace in the center of the seating area completes the cozy look. It's a quiet property despite being next to a busy mall, which attracts both business and leisure travelers, including wedding parties and those with business at the nearby universities. 

The Hampton Inn is conveniently located in the upscale retail district of Green Hills, a suburb about a 10-minute drive south of downtown Nashville. The popular Mall at Green Hills is a three-minute walk from the hotel, and it has a movie theater in addition to shops and restaurants. Dozens of shops, several restaurants, and a grocery store also are within a short walk. For guests who prefer not to walk, the hotel operates a free shuttle that travelers throughout Green Hills. Bluebird Cafe is just a four-minute drive, Lipscomb University is six minutes by car, and Vanderbilt University is a seven-minute drive. Reaching Nashville International Airport takes approximately 17 minutes by car.  

Guest rooms aren't as attractive as the lobby, and they lack elements to brighten the otherwise dark and traditional decor. But spaces still are comfortable, pleasant, and considerably well-equipped. Upholstered armchairs are included in Standard rooms (Kings and Double Doubles), and King Study rooms have sleeper sofas and coffee tables. Standard amenities include 32-inch flat-screen TVs, coffeemakers, microwaves, mini-fridges, and free Wi-Fi. One-bedroom Suites have separate living rooms with kitchenettes that add full fridges, utensils, dishwashers, wet bars, and cooktops. Bathrooms are equally spacious and come with wide granite vanities, magnifying mirrors, shower/tub combos, hairdryers, and Neutrogena toiletries. The rooms are generally quiet, but views are unremarkable. 

Hampton Inn & Suites Nashville – Green Hills has well-rounded lineup of features that make for a comfortable stay—including several freebies. The hotel offers a free breakfast buffet served daily, with hot items such as eggs, sausage, and waffles, and a range of cold items like cereals and bread. There's also free weekday afternoon snacks and beer or wine, and free coffee and tea are available all day in the lobby. 

The outdoor heated pool and whirlpool is another highlight, both sizable and open seasonally, and the area has a gas grill for guests. There's a fitness center on-site that has up-to-date equipment, but it's on the small side, with free weights and only one treadmill, elliptical, and stationary bicycle. 

Other amenities include a business center with a computer and printer, meeting space for up to 75 people and a luxurious board room that can seat 14, and an on-site convenience store that sells sundries and snacks, including ice cream and frozen entrees, plus soft drinks and beer.  Valet dry cleaning and laundry service is available, and there's a guest laundry room with one washer/dryer. On-site parking is free, as is the hotel's area shuttle, and Wi-Fi is free throughout.
