The hotel is housed in an older and rather bland brick building, but inside, it’s modern and stylish. Striking contemporary art, wood paneling, plush leather furniture, and a white marble bar are featured in the lobby. Handsome polished tile and hardwood floors lead to a distinctive spiral staircase that descends to a cozy space for casual conversations or informal meetings. Expect to see a mix of business and leisure travelers here, including larger tour groups, families, couples, and corporate groups conducting meetings. 

The Eurostars is located in central Rome, between the Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II and the Basilica of Saint John Lateran. The area is generally safe, there's a good selection of restaurants within a couple blocks, the property is situated next a schoolyard where children often play into the evening. Reaching most top tourist sights requires public transit, and there's a metro stop within walking distance.

Drapes, walls, and headboards range from cafe au lait to butterscotch, with elegant tigerwood wall panels and work desks. Hardwood floors have a darker, almost espresso finish, and framed photos of architectural landmarks in Rome complete the look. Rooms vary somewhat in size, with Doubles encompassing a smallish 161 square feet, while Junior Suites and Quads are 215 square feet. Standard amenities include air-conditioning, wall-mounted flat-screen TVs, minibars, safes, and free Wi-Fi, but there are no electric kettles. Attractive marble bathrooms are a highlight -- they're relatively spacious and have white vanities, walk-in showers and separate whirlpool tubs, bidets, heated towel racks, hairdryers, and toiletries. 

Eurostars Saint John Hotel lacks a full restaurant, but a daily hot breakfast buffet, with cappuccino, cold items, and eggs is served in a spacious room for an extra charge.
