That said, the tranquility means the hotel is located far from all of the popular tourist attractions -- though it's in a nice, safe, residential neighborhood with plenty of dining and shops nearby. The rooms have modern amenities such as iPod docks and flat-screen TVs, but they're short on space unless you're in a suite (in which balconies and patios are huge). The on-site dining is nice and there are some tables out in the garden so guests can take in the outdoors. This is a solid option for guests wanting a relaxed, comfy place to crash after a busy day of sightseeing.

The Prime Hotel Principe Torlonia is located in Parioli, one of Rome's safer, upscale neighborhoods. It's much quieter than Central Rome, which can be nice after a day of touring the busy city. But while it's walking distance to two large parks and plenty of restaurants, guests have to take a taxi or public transportation to central Rome to see any of the popular sights.Parioli is one of Rome's wealthiest residential neighborhoods, located to the north of the bustling, tourist-crowded city center. It's an area that trades in packed tour buses and ancient ruins for small groups of well-heeled visitors to Rome and elegant residences. Sure, there's the drawback of being farther from Rome's monuments, but it also puts you closer to some of Rome's best dining and nightlife. Many people consider staying here during their second or third visits to Rome, after they've gotten the Colosseum tours out of their systems.
