Bottom Line
The Lodge On Route 66 is a renovated boutique motel, with all the traditional trappings of a Route 66 motor lodge along with some luxury additions. All 18 rooms have been updated with solid wood furniture, oak flooring, and travertine counters. The effect is a warm and intimate yet sophisticated atmosphere that outclasses other hotels in Williams, but the prices are nonetheless reasonable. Perks include free breakfast and Wi-Fi, but there's no pool or fitness center. The adjacent Rodeway Inn & Suites Downtowner-Route 66, run by the same people as The Lodge, provides overflow space and is decorated in a similar fashion.

Charming motel with cozy lodge interiors, popular with road-tripping couples
This hotel is geared toward leisure travelers on Route 66, and while it's a fine place for a family to spend the night, it's more popular with adults -- particularly couples on their way to the Grand Canyon. The single-story adobe building isn't much to look at from the outside, but the interiors are cute, with unfinished light-wood ceilings and a hodgepodge of vintage-style signs on the walls along with a few gift shop items for sale. A compact dining area has wood tables and framed photographs of the region. Back outside, a cabana, a covered seating area, fireplaces, and tables offer guests a well-furnished area to sit, eat, or relax while watching cars go by on Route 66.

The Grand Canyon Deer Park is a15-minute drive, Bedrock City is half an hour away by car, and the Grand Canyon takes about an hour to reach.
Rooms
Beautifully decorated rooms with wood ceiling beams, soft recessed lighting, and arched doorways
The Lodge has nine rooms and nine suites with a soft, neutral color palette that reflects the hotel's mountainous surroundings, beamed ceilings with exposed wood, and arched doorways. There are also recessed canned lights above the beds, high-quality wood furnishings, and a mixture of tiles, carpeting, and wood floors. All rooms come with flat-screen TVs, coffeemakers, and free Wi-Fi, but lack phones. Bathrooms are unexceptional and have shower/tub combos. Suites feature kitchenettes with sinks, mini-fridges, and microwaves and separate living areas with sleeper sofas.

Free breakfast and parking
The Lodge On Route 66 offers free parking and Wi-Fi to all guests. Breakfast is included in room rates and comes with scrambled eggs, make-it-yourself waffles, sausage, oatmeal, breads, and fruits.
