The hotel advertises itself as a luxury property, but it is actually upper-middle range, both in terms of amenities and style. Decor is a little dated throughout -- with basic wooden furniture, cream-colored tiled floors, and a muted color scheme -- but common spaces and rooms are well-maintained and clean. The lobby is large and bright, with floor-to-ceiling windows, an attractive winding stair leading up to the mezzanine level, and a pool table. The lobby bar offers live entertainment and is where most guests gather at night, although there is also a nightclub with live shows. It is a busy property -- with queues for breakfast, lots of families with young children, and crammed sun loungers by the pool -- but those who need a quiet respite can head up to the rooftop deck, complete with two small pools, a bar, and a clothing-optional area. 

The hotel is located on a large four-lane avenue lined with hotels and shops. Playa Fañabé, one of Costa Adeje’s longest and most famous beaches, is located a couple of short blocks away, and Playa del Duque -- somewhat quieter -- is less than 15 minutes on foot. There are lots of bars, restaurants, and stores within a couple of blocks from the hotel, and guests can easily walk to two malls. Those who would like to explore other beaches can take a cab or drive to Las Américas, Los Cristianos, and La Caleta in less than 10 minutes. Those who prefer to use public transportation can take a bus to all of the area’s main beaches. Tenerife Sur Airport can be reached by car in 15 minutes, and by bus in about an hour. There is a bus stop down the street.

Arrayed on four floors, the hotel’s 413 rooms are spacious and feature traditional decor. Some may find them somewhat dated and unexciting, and they certainly are a little plain, with generic wooden furniture, basic contemporary couches, and well-known prints with thin golden frames on walls. However, they’re all clean, bright, and pleasant overall. At maximum occupancy most rooms can feel a little tight, but floor-to-ceiling sliding doors opening onto furnished balconies give a little bit more visual space. Standard amenities include free Wi-Fi, mini-fridges, flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning units, and sofa beds for an extra guest. Bathrooms are nice and clean, with double sinks, shower/tub combos, and hotel-brand toiletries, and Junior Suites have a jetted tub. As for views, some have partial ocean views; the rest overlook either the pool or the street.

The main pool is large and heated, with a small section for kids close to the bar area, and lots of loungers. While this means more chances of actually getting a place to sunbathe, some may miss a little bit of privacy, as the loungers are all crammed together around the edge of the pool and up to three rows deep in some areas. The rooftop deck has two smaller, quieter pools with ocean views and a solarium complete with a bar and a separate clothing-optional area. 

The spa offers treatments, saunas, steam baths, hot and cold showers, and salon services. With a few average machines and little natural light, the fitness center is a somewhat unappealing spot for a workout, but those who want to stay active can play table tennis or a round of mini golf. The restaurant serves up an average buffet that some have described as repetitive. Most guests say breakfast is the best meal, but the dining room is small and there are long queues every morning. The kids’ club offers daily activities for children four to 12, as well as indoor and outdoor playgrounds and an arcade for teens.
