The 193 rooms have a lively, trendy feel with bright colors, contemporary decor, flat-screen TVs, floor-to-ceiling windows, and bathrooms with double shower heads. The spa is luxurious and couples-friendly, and the excellent kids' club has a marine biology theme. The hotel also has a full range of infant amenities on hand, including cribs, bottle warmers, and baby suntan lotion. Despite the extensive kids' offerings, the property tends to draw more couples than families. It's one of the chicest (albeit priciest) options in the area.

It's a safe, affluent area with nearby golf courses and outdoor activities like kayaking and fishing. Within a block of the resort, there's also a small pedestrian area lined with shops, restaurants, galleries, and a few bars.
Jacksonville Beach, a nine-minute drive away, is a calmer option compared to the packed and often party-centric beaches of Southern Florida. The beach is known for being a great surfing spot, and it also has a fishing pier that is frequented by locals and tourists alike. There are several small restaurants in the area, as well as a few touristy shops and surf shops.
