Bottom Line
More apartment complex than hotel -- there's a sofa bed and full kitchen in all 126 rooms -- the casinoless Residence Inn is located among the strip malls of safe (suburban) Green Velley. Its rooms are a bit older, but still very comfortable, and if you're after the Strip, a free, 20-minute shuttle heads there six times a day.

Location
Located in an upscale, Green Valley strip mall; free, 20-minute shuttle ride from the Strip
Its close to a local casino with its own microbrewery as well as some notable franchise restaurants -- an Olive Garden, Joe's Crab Shack, and TGI Friday's among them -- but the Residence Inn is otherwise far removed from most of the tourist attractions on the Strip. Fortunately, the hotel offers a free shuttle to the Strip.
- Across the street from a grocery store -- to make good use of the kitchen
- 15-minute drive (or $25 taxi) to the McCarran International Airport
- 20-minute drive to the casinos, performances, incredible restaurants, nightclubs, and designer shopping on the Strip
- Free hotel shuttle service to and from the Strip six times per day; a taxi would cost about $30 one-way
- Free on-site parking
- 20-minute drive to the Las Vegas Convention Center
