This upscale resort is a sprawling property on the Santa Ana Pueblo reservation 15 miles north of Albuquerque. Its gorgeous natural setting under vivid blue skies offers panoramic views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Trails lead directly to the Rio Grande and the resort features numerous activities, as well as a golf course, restaurants, and several pools. Rooms are spacious, with updated extras like large flat-screen TVs and iPod docks -- and many have private balconies.
Situated on the Sandia Pueblo Indian reservation just north of Albuquerque, this rambling resort is packed with amenities, including a huge casino, large amphitheater, massive pool area, and restaurant. Great views of the nearby Sangre de Cristo Mountains grace the gorgeous grounds and 18-hole golf course. The Native American art on display throughout the hotel is spectacular, and the rooms (complete with large bathrooms) have a similar Native American decor.
Gorgeous and hip, this downtown boutique is housed in a historic building with a luxe vibe and eco-friendly focus. Featuring a rooftop bar and a stunning lobby, the Andaluz evokes the feel of a Spanish resort, yet also honors its own history as a New Mexico landmark with extensive Southwestern art throughout. Rooms feature exquisite bedding and high-tech touches, and free Wi-Fi is a nice touch.
This Hard Rock Hotel & Casino is located on Isleta Pueblo Indian land about 10 miles south of Albuquerque. The large complex has a spa, golf course, concert venue, indoor/outdoor pool, and several restaurants. The hotel displays its signature rock 'n roll memorabilia throughout and a big casino offers over 1,600 slot machines along with 30 table games and a poker room. Rooms are modern with big flat-screen TVs and iPod docks. Some bathrooms have shower/tub combos, others feature separate soaking tubs and walk-in showers. While the free Wi-Fi and sunny fitness center are nice amenities, cigarette smoke from the casino can be a nuisance. There are no coffeemakers in the rooms and while there are many restaurant choices, this hotel lacks an upscale, fine-dining option.
