Brunch is its own subculture in NYC, with hundreds, if not thousands, parading to their favorite eateries on Saturday and Sunday between roughly 10 a.m. and 4 p.m to devour everything from pancakes to eggs Benedict to huevos rancheros. Though not a requirement, many choose to indulge in mimosas, Bloody Marys, and more -- there are more than a few restaurants that offer bottomless drinks for a flat fee, while others have delicious a la carte cocktails. If you’re in town over a weekend, you might want to partake in the affair and witness the spectacle. We’ve picked five of our favorite boozy hotel brunches in New York City.
1. Maple at Night Hotel
If you’re looking for a bottomless boozy brunch at a hotel restaurant in New York, this is a great option. For $30, brunchers at this party hotel in Times Square can enjoy two hours of all-you-can-drink Bloody Marys and mimosas AND one entree between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Want to skip the alcoholic beverages? No problem. You can sub those drinks for soft drinks, coffee, and tea (which are not otherwise included in the $30 price, though they can be purchased individually).
2. Upstairs at the Kimberly
This year-round rooftop restaurant (with retractable walls) in Midtown East is a brunch hot spot. Though there’s no bottomless drink option, there are plenty of booze-heavy cocktails to imbibe. This summer, you can try refreshing drinks like the Electolyte, a watermelon, pineapple, and vodka libation. As for your entree, you can go for a Hangover Remedy -- smashed avocado, bacon, sundried tomatoes, and a fried egg on ciabatta -- or a sweeter option, like lemon ricotta pancakes.
3. Parker & Quinn at the Refinery Hotel
Housed in a building that was once a factory, Parker & Quinn has a cozy yet chic atmosphere that makes for a fun brunch spot. Their signature offering is their brunch boards, which include a carafe of brunch cocktails paired with sides like pickled veggies, bacon, and fresh fruit. Entree options span from the healthy (think açai bowls) to the indulgent (think crab cake eggs Benedict).
4. The NoMad Restaurant at the NoMad Hotel
Bloody Mary fans should take note of the menu at the NoMad’s restaurant. There are five different options, ranging from Traditional to the Caesar, which includes shellfish, lemon, and horseradish. Many of the dishes to share with the whole table feature seafood -- you can order oysters, scallops, and prawns to start before heading to the entrees (which range from lobster to a short rib hash).
5. The Roxy Bar at the Roxy
In the hip TriBeCa neighborhood, the Roxy hotel offers a buffet brunch with bottomless drink package -- brunch for adults is $30, plus $20 for the unlimited cocktails, while brunch for children is $15. The hotel has expanded its offerings to include an oyster and clam special You might even be treated to live music during your meal (be sure to check the calendar).
