Junior Suite Design are particularly appealing, with carved wooden headboards, accent walls, and jetted tubs. The hotel offers a wide array of on-site amenities, including a pool, a spa, a solid Mediterranean restaurant, and a kids’ club. Just note that there are a number of pesky fees -- such as Wi-Fi, parking, and for use of mini-fridges -- and that there have been complaints of poor soundproofing in rooms.

Scene
Contemporary decor with some classic touches
The hotel underwent extensive renovations in 2012, bringing fresh coats of paint, more upscale and stylish decor, and an overall more contemporary feel to the property. The lobby features arched windows lined with plants; several sitting areas with wicker armchairs, wooden coffee tables, and floral prints on cushions; and a few paintings of traditional Spanish scenes with a contemporary twist. The rest of the common areas feature similar decor, though most spaces have a few classic touches here and there, such as a wooden piano, an old painted trunk, and dark leather tufted couches. Each floor is dedicated to a different artist, and features famous artwork of the honored painter.

On a hill, blocks from the beach, restaurants and nightlife
The hotel is located atop a small hill overlooking Lloret. The neighborhood is mostly residential and quiet -- but is within easy walking distance of the beach and the city center. There are many restaurants, bars and shops a short stroll away, and guests can find another somewhat quieter beach a five-minute drive away. Those flying into Girona-Costa Brava Airport can get to the hotel in just 30 minutes, and Barcelona can be reached by car in just over an hour.

Alba Seleqtta Hotel offers 180 rooms, including several Junior Suites, and a Suite. All units feature contemporary decor, HD flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, and balconies or terraces furnished with two chairs and a table; most have a color scheme of purple and brown. Junior Suites have a sitting area complete with a sofa bed separated from the bedroom by a folding screen, and a bathroom with a jetted tub; most have an extra bathroom with a shower, and a second terrace with ocean views. The Suite features two bedrooms, a patio, and a jetted tub. Probably the nicest rooms are the Junior Suite Designs, featuring unique decor with carved wooden headboards, accent walls, king beds, jetted tubs, and stone bathroom sinks. Walls are thin throughout, so noise may be an issue during peak season. In-room mini-fridges, safes, cots, and Wi-Fi are all available for a fee.
