Bottom Line

The Five Hotel is an adults-only, mid-range boutique property with a playful romantic vibe: There's a "love capsule" bar, with soft-core erotica books, and rose petals on the beds. Both the lobby and the rooms are tiny (especially the showers!), and there aren't any property features aside from the bar and breakfast room. The decor in the lobby and bar is ultra-modern and funky, while the rooms have contemporary style (expect details such as colorful fabrics, fringe drapes around the beds, and clear plastic chairs). Rooms also offer flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. The hotel is walking distance to the Luxembourg gardens and numerous restaurants, and four nearby metro lines can shuttle guests to more central areas of the city. The Five Hotel is perfectly pleasant option for this price category, but it's worth comparing rates with the nearby Hotel Apostrophe Rive Gauche and Aviatic Hotel.

In a quiet but central neighborhood, within walking distance of the Luxembourg Gardens and Montparnasse Cemetery

Map of The Five Hotel

The Five Hotel is on Paris's Left Bank, on the southern edge of the 5th arrondissement. It's surrounded by quiet streets and plenty of restaurants, and within walking distance of four metro stations, which offer direct lines to both airports. The Luxembourg Gardens are a 15-minute walk away, but most other sights will require a metro or taxi ride; the metro can take guests to all major sights, including the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame.

Paris is one of Europe's most densely populated cities, and is currently one of the world's most important business and cultural metropolises. Known as "The City of Lights" for its growth during the Age of Enlightenment, Paris is home to some of the world's most luxurious fashion (Hermes, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent), iconic museums, and structures, as well as major media and business outlets.
