Hotel Boss

Making a mark on the Singapore skyline, Hotel Boss is housed within a high-rise fully-glassed triangular building with an open center court. There is a large covered parking lot at the entrance of the hotel. Inside, the hotel is modern with an exclusive appeal. The lobby features glossy black stone floors and reception desk and central lounge area with beige leather sofas and a large dramatic overhead chandelier. Jubilicious, the halal restaurant on the fourth floor has a modern, bright, and airy feel, with floor-to-ceiling windows around the majority of the room. Pappasan, on the other hand, has a retro, rustic vibe with exposed ducting, wooden table and chairs, leather seating, low-hanging contemporary lighting, and eclectic collection of artwork. With 1,500 rooms, this hotel can get quite crowded and noisy. Guests range from business travelers to tourists, including solo travelers, couples, and families. Note that it can get quite busy and crowded in the public areas. 

Hotel Boss has an ideal location on Victoria Road in the center of Singapore for easy access to most parts of the city via public transport. There are numerous dining and shopping outlets within the immediate vicinity -- including the large food court on the ground floor of the hotel. The Bugis shopping area and the 24-hour Mustafa Centre are both within a 10-minute walk from the hotel. It's located between two of Singapore's main cultural hubs: Kampong Glam, which is five minutes away via public transport, and Little India, which is 15 minutes away via public transport. The famous Gardens by the Bay is a 12-minute drive. There is a bus stop across from the hotel and the Lavender MRT Station is four minutes on foot. Singapore Changi Airport is less than 20 minutes by car from the hotel.

The 1,500 guest rooms at Hotel Boss are modern and come with basic amenities. Guests should be warned that the majority of the rooms are fairly small, with little to no storage space available. Decor follows a minimalist theme with gray walls, white linens, and standard black and white furniture. The back walls and ceilings in the Standard and Superior Rooms feature funky triangular patterns. The higher category rooms have plain walls with contemporary paintings. The Family Rooms are also quite small, with just enough room for two double beds. Amenities in all rooms include air-conditioning, internet-connected flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, tea- and coffee-making facilities, bottled water, desks, telephones, safes, and free Wi-Fi. Bathrooms include walk-in showers, along with hairdryers and a selection of toiletries. Some rooms feature views of the city, while the other rooms face the the center of the building. Selected rooms have small furnished balconies with either sun loungers or wicker chairs. 

The hotel offers two buffet breakfasts each morning, halal and non-halal, though the meal is not included in all room rates. There are various restaurants, take-away outlets, and boutique shops situated on the ground floor of the hotel. Restaurants include Nanjing Restaurant specializing in Chinese cuisine, Founder Rou Gu Cha specializing in Teochew-style cuisine, and Papasan specializing in Asian and Western cuisine (plus room service). Jubilicious, on the fourth floor, offers an array of halal fusion and local dishes. The Sky Terrace overlooks the city and features an outdoor swimming pool with surrounding sun loungers. Overlooking the swimming pool is the hotel's fitness center, with a small selection of Precor cardio and weight-training equipment. A small kids' playground is available, for kids ages 2 to 5 years old. Wi-Fi throughout the property and on-site parking are free. Additional features include a business center, 24-hour reception, luggage storage, tour information, and laundry service (for a fee).
